Welcome to The Calm Comb - Manchester

I offer a gentle and accurate head lice screening as a certified head lice technician in Manchester. My process includes a thorough examination of the scalp and hair, followed by precision combing using the NitNOT detection comb. You’ll receive clear, immediate results, whether no lice are found or if treatment is recommended, along with personalized guidance on prevention, hygiene, and aftercare. If lice are detected and you opt for treatment, I provide a chemical-free lice treatment solution, and the £25 head-check fee will be waived. I also offer mobile lice removal services for your convenience, ensuring effective lice egg removal right at your home.

I start by applying the chemical-free lice treatment, NitNOT, to dry hair. This serum slows the lice and loosens the egg bonds, making lice egg removal much easier. I then divide the hair into clean, manageable sections to ensure every area of the scalp is covered. As a certified head lice technician, I use a high-quality NitNOT detection comb, working methodically from the roots to the tips, lifting away lice and eggs with each pass. Every comb wipe is checked carefully to ensure the hair is being thoroughly cleared. If you’re in need of mobile lice removal in Manchester, I can assist you in achieving a lice-free scalp.

A follow-up visit allows me, as your dedicated Manchester head lice technician, to confirm that all lice and eggs are gone after your first treatment. I begin with a thorough head check. If I find any lice or eggs and you choose to proceed with treatment, which includes a chemical-free lice treatment option, the follow-up fee will cover this. If everything is clear, you’ll only be charged the £25 head-check fee for my mobile lice removal service.

For very long or thick hair, or in cases of severe infestation where extra time is needed for chemical-free lice treatment, an additional fee may apply. If the appointment with our Manchester headlice technician goes beyond one hour, each extra 30 minutes will incur a charge of £20. This applies particularly during lice egg removal sessions by our experienced mobile lice removal service, ensuring you receive the best care from a qualified head lice technician.
