Welcome to The Calm Comb. By booking a treatment or using our services, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. Services Provided
The Calm Comb offers mobile head lice screening, treatment and advice using a gentle, non-chemical approach. We operate across Manchester and surrounding areas.
2. Bookings
Appointments are subject to availability.
All bookings must be made by a person aged 16 or over.
We reserve the right to decline or reschedule appointments at our discretion.
3. Pricing & Payment
Prices are listed clearly on our website.
Full payment is due at the time of service via cash or bank transfer.
4. Cancellation & Travel Policy
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
If an appointment is cancelled or rearranged within 24 hours, a £20 deposit will be required before a new appointment can be booked.
If you are located outside our standard service area, please contact us before booking and we will confirm the travel fee for your location.
For appointments outside our standard service area, the travel fee must be paid in advance, along with the £20 deposit, before we travel to the appointment.
If we arrive for a confirmed appointment and are unable to proceed, for example because a child is unwilling to participate or there is no access to the property, the full appointment fee will still apply.
5. Treatment Disclaimer
While we use effective manual methods, complete removal of head lice and eggs in one session cannot be guaranteed.
We advise follow-up combing and checks as outlined in our aftercare advice.
6. Client Responsibilities
Clients must inform us of any allergies, scalp conditions or sensitivities before treatment begins.
A responsible adult must be present during treatment for all children.
7. Health & Safety
We reserve the right to decline service if we feel it may pose a risk to the client or practitioner.
8. Privacy
All personal information is handled in accordance with UK GDPR regulations.

We accept no liability for issues arising from failure to follow aftercare advice or from incomplete disclosure of relevant medical conditions or infestations.
